TWR High School Steeplechase
Spring and Summer Steeplechase Season
Open to Wilde Lake High School students.
We will begin our season after the Maryland State High School Outdoor Track and Field Championships in late May.
The season will consist of two practices per week, primarily at the WLHS track. Some practices will be held at other local tracks. Additionally, there will be a number of competitions over the summer that the team may participate in.
Our competitive season will begin in early June.
Throughout June and July, there are youth outdoor track meets in the Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Southern PA area every weekend. Some of these meets will include Steeplechase and some won’t. We will monitor the meet webpages for updated information as the season progresses.
The culmination of our season will be at the USATF National Junior Olympics. For those who can make it, we will contest the National USATF Youth Championship in the 2000-meter Steeplechase.
Other Info
Athletes in the program will receive a team uniform for competitions.
TWR will pay team member entry fees for meets in which the team competes.
